Course Overview

The Ginger and Grove Barista Academy provides a professional, hands-on training program over two days, with each session lasting approximately 2.5 hours. The curriculum includes:

  • Espresso extraction and machine operation

  • Milk steaming and foundational

  • Manual brewing techniques

  • Workflow efficiency and drink consistency

  • Introduction to café etiquette, hospitality, and cleanliness

  • Farm-to-cup principles and ethical sourcing

Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive:

  • A Certificate of Completion

  • Lifetime access to refresher sessions offered exclusively to academy alumni

  • Eligibility for internship placement at Ginger and Grove Coffeehouse (limited availability, by application)

2. Enrollment & Payment

  • Full payment of $450 is required at the time of enrollment to secure a seat in the course.

  • Payment is non-refundable and non-transferable, regardless of attendance or participation.

3. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

  • Cancellations must be submitted in writing at least 7 days prior to the first class. While no refunds are given, the student may request a one-time reschedule for a future course date (subject to availability).

  • No-shows or cancellations made within 7 days of the course start date forfeit the full tuition and are not eligible for rescheduling or transfer.

  • Ginger and Grove reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a class due to low enrollment or instructor availability. In such cases, enrolled students will be offered a new course date at no additional cost.

4. Liability Waiver

By enrolling in the Barista Academy, the student acknowledges that they will be operating commercial coffee equipment and working in a live café environment. The student agrees to follow all safety instructions and assumes full responsibility for any personal injury or property damage incurred during the course. Ginger and Grove Coffeehouse, its owners, staff, and affiliates are not liable for injuries, damages, or lost property.

5. Code of Conduct

Students are expected to arrive on time, dress appropriately for a working café environment, and conduct themselves professionally. Failure to do so may result in removal from the course without a certificate or access to alumni benefits.
